Evangelism Ministry – Open Doors Baptist Church (ODBC)

Vision

The Evangelism Ministry at ODBC exists to faithfully proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, both within our community and beyond, so that lives may be transformed and God may be glorified. We believe that evangelism is not simply a program, but the heartbeat of a healthy church fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20).

Mission

  • To equip and encourage members of ODBC to share their faith confidently and compassionately.

  • To reach the lost in our local community through intentional outreach efforts.

  • To support missions and evangelistic partnerships that expand the Gospel globally.

  • To demonstrate the love of Christ through both word and deed.

Why Evangelism is Important to ODBC

  1. Biblical Mandate: Evangelism is not optional it is a command from Jesus Christ (Mark 16:15, Acts 1:8). ODBC exists to glorify God, and one of the greatest ways we do this is by sharing His message of salvation.

  2. Spiritual Growth: A church committed to evangelism grows in faith, boldness, and dependence on God. Evangelism keeps the church outward-focused instead of inward-centered.

  3. Kingdom Expansion: Every soul matters to God. Through evangelism, ODBC becomes a vessel God uses to bring people from darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).

  4. Community Impact: Evangelism is more than words it’s showing the love of Christ in tangible ways. This strengthens our witness and makes ODBC a light in the community.

  5. Church Health & Legacy: A church that stops evangelizing eventually declines. Evangelism ensures that ODBC remains vibrant, growing, and relevant for future generations.
