MEMBERSHIP
At Open Doors Baptist Church (ODBC), we believe that the Bible not only teaches us what to believe, but also how we are called to live together as God’s people. For this reason, we take membership seriously. The Lord Jesus spoke of our love and accountability to one another (John 13:34–35), and the New Testament emphasizes our shared life within the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Hebrews 10:24–25). Becoming a member is one way we commit ourselves to walk together in faith, service, and mission for the glory of Christ’s kingdom.

Membership is a joyful declaration that you belong to this local church family. As members, we promise to care for one another, to encourage and serve one another (Galatians 6:2; 1 Peter 4:10), and to walk in unity under Christ our Head (Ephesians 4:15–16). At the same time, we gladly receive the love, accountability, and support of our brothers and sisters in Christ.

As a church, we hold quarterly members’ meetings. These gatherings give us the chance to share updates from different ministries, welcome new members, pray together, discuss practical matters such as building work, and make decisions together in dependence on the Lord (Acts 6:3–4).

If you are a regular attender at ODBC, we warmly invite you to consider becoming a member. To help you take this step, we offer a membership course once a month (usually on a Saturday morning until noon), where you can learn more about what it means to belong to the family of God here at ODBC.
