COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Community Engagement @ ODBC
As a church, we sometimes set up prayer tent offering a safe and welcoming space for anyone seeking prayer, counselling, or support. It’s a place where people can find emotional, spiritual, and practical guidance, and experience God’s care and encouragement.

Alongside these projects, we also run community events such as Community BBQs, Jumble Sales, and Plant Sales, which bring people together and provide opportunities for fellowship, connection, and mutual support. We also offer counselling support to those in need of prayer and emotional and spiritual guidance, helping individuals and families navigate personal challenges, grief, or life transitions.
Through these efforts, ODBC members strive to embody Christian values of service, compassion, and neighbourly love, making a tangible difference in the lives of those around them.
Our members serve the community in many ways, from mentoring youth and supporting families and local charities.

We hosted a spectacular hamper giveaway during our Christmas Carols Week, featuring a friendly donkey that delighted the children and brought the Christmas story to life. Families and community members enjoyed meeting the donkey, making the celebration truly memorable and full of festive joy.

This event was held to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, bringing the community together in celebration and fellowship.

Our annual Summer Jumble Sale brings the community together for a fun and welcoming event, while raising vital funds in support of charitable causes.
