I’M NEW HERE

GET STUCK IN, GET CONNECTED.

WORDS FROM REV'D DR GHANN

GREETING MESSAGE

Hello and welcome to our church family. We hope you feel right at home and get stuck in! As you will already know the atmosphere at Open Doors is welcoming and empowering. We’re truly committed to building lives into wholeness; we are determined to make a positive impression and a difference in your life. We want you to be the best version of yourself you can be!

This is a church for all peoples of all nations and backgrounds, I’m certain you will fit right in.  There’s much to get involved in and lots to do; there’s a place for everyone!  If finding and living in God’s presence and achieving purpose is your greatest concern, you’re in the right place!

THOSE ALL IMPORTANT QUESTIONS

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Jesus said “…come as you are”! Whether you’re one for dressing up or you prefer to be more casual, we want you  to be be comfortable; be yourself, come as you are.

HOW CAN I STAY CONNECTED WITH WHAT IS HAPPENING?

The most obvious way is to join us for our Sunday services and weekly prayer meetings. We also have a number of house groups in and around London that are held throughout the week that you can join. Throughout the year we have a number of events, trips and celebrations – keep an eye on our calendar and sign up to our member’s area to receive regular notifications and alerts on what’s happening where and how you can get involved.

DO I HAVE TO BECOME A MEMBER?

The simple answer is no. You’re free to join us for worship and prayer whenever you please and are able to. When you decide to become a member of Open Doors, you will have the opportunity to learn more about our vision and values through formal structured classes and also take up formal responsibility for the welfare, upkeep and growth of the church.

SHOULD I BE BAPTISED?

Baptism is a public declaration of your faith in God and your commitment to walk with Him. It is a key act for any true believer who has decided to follow Jesus and as such a key part of church program. We hold several baptismal services every year which are proceeded by baptismal preparation classes. Should you wish to be baptised please contact us via this website or in person for further information.

I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS ON FAITH!

We provide many forums for discussions on the bible; faith and its practical application in our lives. Our house groups for example, are a good forum for such discussions throughout the week. It is important to fellowship with other believers to encourage, empower and support each other throughout our walk with God on this earth. We will never know all there is to know and we will all have questions for the various seasons in our lives; Open Doors is a great place to be if you have questions; we believe in learning together.

HOW CAN I GET MORE INVOLVED?

“The harvest is plenty but the workers are few” That statement by Jesus in the New Testament Gospels is as true today as it was back then. There’s much to do and we’re always looking for volunteers. If you have noticed an area you wish to serve in, volunteer or have skills and talents to share, don’t hesitate to send us a message via this website or speak to a minister in person at any of our weekly services.

QOUTE OF THE DAY

If we learn to glean something good out of every little advice that is given us, we will learn lots of lessons that will eventually set us up for advancement in life. Even a little child can teach us something if we are careful to listen.
